We spent the afternoon with some friends, who were so gracious and thoughtful. Thanks, guys!
This is my middle child, a chronic “sleeps with his eyes open” kind of child, taking a snoozer on our way there. He pretty much looked the same on our drive home…he was worn out!

I think I must have gained about 20 pounds just looking at this sitting before me. If you think it looks good, you should have been there to taste it. The cake was absolute perfection (I don’t say that often) and seriously melted in your mouth. Can you guess what the ice cream is? It’s an ice cream ball with caramel popcorn rolled on the outside and drizzled with caramel sauce. Can you believe that we were sent home with this cake? Too bad you all live so far away or I’d invite you over for a taste…or not!
I wish I would have remembered to photograph our lunch. It was so tasty, black bean burritos (oops, or was it enchiladas? forgive me!) with homemade guacamole and salsa. We were also sent home with the blue chips and guacamole, which we finished when we came home. Sad isn’t it? So willing to eat all that delicious food…

It was really too windy of a day to try and get any decent shots, but I tried!

Well, our thoughtful hosts bought the kids their own coloring/sticker books. To say the kids were excited is an understatement. Ecstatic, thrilled, surprised…you name it, they felt it!

Here they are, each waiting for their turn for something to be thrown to them. Andrea was such a good sport, she really wore them out!

This was taken right before we left. The boys can’t stop talking about how much fun they had. It was a perfect day.
